11th Game in Atlanta: The Atlanta Eastside Light Irregulars become acqunted with War and Conquest

This Sunday the 3rd Atlanta Eastside Light Irregualrs met for a learning game of War and Coquest (written by Rob Broom). I finally got the full colelction of 15th Century Western Europeans in Danian colours to the table vs. Khayman's and Preston's united Hussites and Pole-Cossaks.

We only played 3 of 12 turns, as Khayman was also working the shop, and me and Preston were babysitting. Still it was a good chance to get an idea of the War and Conquest rules. There was a lot we liked, but we found that the organization of the rule-book and the lack of a good free QRS was a major problem for the rules. Now the QRS problem will be solved, and that will help with the organization issue, but I felt that a good sumamry of some rules at the end of the rulebook (i.e when do you get disordered) would be great.

Combat was very, very smooth, and once we got the hang of it we loved it. It does not bog down.  In general a system we will try again in the future, hopefully with a good QRS.

The Corssbow unit wa sone of my two MVPs, clearing one of my flanks.

The other MVP was King Aramo and his retinue, who by the time we called it, had a good chance of smashing the center of the enemy line.

Preston's very bad roll against King Aramo
