I went over to one of the public libraries, were the director is a wargamer to donate the rural ruins terrain set I created (this is part of it). We took advatnage of the early hour and slow buisness to play a game of Combat Patrol with him leading the World Eaters and I the Death Guard. As life would have it I took the wrong box of minaitures, brining my historical 15th Century stuff rather than my Death Guard. Well we went forward with it and had a good scrap, though by the end of turn 3 it was over for me and I conceded.
On another front, after 5 years of marriage my wife has decided to try some element of my hobby (I try Yoga for her, and run Call of Cthulhu role playing sessions). I will build her a combat patrol based around the idea of a rag-tag force of resistance fighters against a Chaos attack. This neccesiates budget changes. One result is that Battletech takes the short-shrift for 2025. I will only buy three more bases on elemental to complete a Nova for my clan forces.
Historical wise I am still determined to finish my Oeversee terrain board. That will cost about 100 USD
Sci-Fi: I ordered the remnant of my BFG interests, and that will cost about 30 USD
I have ordered for April elements of my Agents of the Imperium Incursion Army (A box od Les Grongards to use to build the Voidsmen at Arms units). For May I ordered a Escher Gang Box for Ceren's Gazelles (she chose the name). I should also aim to finish in 2025 the Inquisitorial Agents and Rogue Trader units. Collectivelly all of these will cost 172 USD.
And then of course the usual hobby supplies (Anotehr 50).
350 USD for the next 9 months is not a lot, but it is a lot for me. I think 2026 I will be more restricted, and will pivot as much as possible away from Citadel Miniatures (maybe two big buys from the strores per year and then supplies as support).
