I finished a small project, Inquisitor Astor Sabbathiel and her retinue from the following works by George Mann for Black Library
The Karsharat Abomination (e-short , narrated by me )
The audio drama Soulbound (link)
and the novel Awakenings
she originally was an antagonist in the comic book series Will of Iron-Revelations-Fallen.
Sabbathiel is by no means a heroic character, though she has guts. Probably the main appeal for me was a) she is bossy woman and between the women in my life, I am surrounded by bossy women b) she wears terminator armour (correctly depicted as an exo-skeleton more than a suit) c) while not a hero, she is also not wrong in her suspicions, and makes a good character if you want inter-imperium strife.
The whole bunch, plus her current ship, the "Redemption of Justice", a reccomissioned escort in Battle-Fleet Gothic terms.
In my collection she is a Inquisitor in Terminator Armour (Legends) and her retinue are part of an Inquisitorial Agents units. I took my cue from the events of Soulbound and had her join Battlefleet Illustris in the Illustris campaign in her current investigation against the Raven Guard. She will be part of a incursion level Red Hunters force, as I see her brining the Red Hunters along with the fleet into the newly opened sector.
Joining her are her surviving retinue from AwakeningsL Brondel the Kin (Squat), her Interrogator Beldheim (a terrible human being if you have listened to Soulbound, less terrible in the novel and short story), her muscle Mercy (the figure is smaller than I would had prefered in stature. She is supposed to be buff lady), and Metik her enigmatic Tech-Priest benefactor. She also has the servo-skull Fitch the only surviving part of her old retinue from the comics.
