Porject Completed: 28mm Sci Fi Ruined Settlement Terrain

 I have completed after three years of work, my 28mm Ruined Settlement scractch-built terrain porject. This covers a area for Warhmmer 40K Combat Patrol, Kill Team, Xenos Rampant, and any other skirmish sci-fi game using small units. Eleventh Game in Atlanta: The Atlanta Eastside Light Irregulars become acqunted with War and Conquest

This Sunday the 3rd Atlanta Eastside Light Irregualrs met for a learning game of War and Coquest (written by Rob Broom). I finally got the full colelction of 15th Century Western Europeans in Danian colours to the table vs. Khayman's and Preston's united Hussites and Pole-Cossaks. 

We only played 3 of 12 turns, as Khayman was also working the shop, and me and Preston were babysitting. Still it was a good chance to get an idea of the War and Conquest rules. There was a lot we liked, but we found that the organization of the rule-book and the lack of a good free QRS was a major problem for the rules. Now the QRS problem will be solved, and that will help with the organization issue, but I felt that a good sumamry of some rules at the end of the rulebook (i.e when do you get disordered) would be great. 

Combat was very, very smooth, and once we got the hang of it we loved it. It does not bog down.  In general a system we will try again in the future, hopefully with a good QRS.

Updated Sci Fi Terrain

 My terrain project is nearing it completion. One of my old buildings need rebasing to artist canvas, and I want another round of decals to go on them, but I believe this is adequate for Combat Patrol 40k and Small Scale Skirmish games. 

Once I am done on that I plan to invest and work on a equal size mat that will be factory/spaceship terrain. That will permit me to play Incursion games, and Baording Action games. That will probably take a year or two to finish. 

Updates on March plans

 This March things move as this 

1) Ordered a box of Les Grongards from Challenges Games and Comics and a two rotary guns arms from Etsy. These will be used to built the Voidsmen at Arms for my Imperial Agents force, and probably a unit of traitor guardsmen for a future Tetrachy force. Cost: Around 60 USD. To be paid in march.

2) Ordered the balance of my BFG fleets from my friend Chris. These are for April. Cost: 20 USD to be paid in April.

3) Continued working on my terrain: cost 15 USD. Paid.

4) Battletech Clan box mechs. 

Game-wsie, since I ended up with no gaming in February I schjeduled two sessions this March

Hobby Updates: Some figures and terrain for 40k/Scifi

In January and February I mostly worked on 

a) My Battlefleet Gothic Collection 

b) The slow start of my Imperial Agents 

c) Pimping my terrain set and adding to it. 

The BFG ships are coming alone, but I have still not finished something to the point worthy of photos.

Terrain wise I added decal graffiti to my terrain (from this source) and built another piece for my urban ruin terrain. I dare say I am close to finishing the set. I will rebase some single pieces. It is enough for good coverage for Combat Patrol and Kill Team.

Changes, changes, chages!

 Changes in my finances mean I have to be less ambitious on my wargaming interests for the rest of the year

1) Starting from March I will play once a month. Since I always want to spend some money on the stores that host my gaming, and getting there requires gas, going twice a month while not a huge burden, becomes undefensible consider my finances right now. February is thus the last double until my finances get better.

2) A bit more focused hobby spending. I already met one target, finishing my Nurgle force once and for good. The rest of the year I will make only two major purchases: A) Citadel Naval Breachers B) The BT Mercenaries Box. I also aim to spend 5-10 USD a month in the store I game at.
